SIGNS IN THE HEAVENS: Weather Phenomenon - Strange Feather-Like Iridescent Cloud Appears Over Warwick, Australia And Another Massive Shelf Cloud Engulfs Florida! [PHOTOS]

by Kerri Trusz

March 30, 2016 - EARTH - Here are more extraordinary cloud formations, as magnetic polar migration creates symptomatic evidence of Earth's monumental transformation.

Strange feather-like iridescent cloud appears over Warwick, Australia

The rainbow cirrus cloud also known as "feather clouds" or "mares tails" really looks like a feather floating in the evening sky.

Cloud iridescence is the occurrence of colors in a cloud. It is a fairly uncommon phenomenon, most often observed in altocumulus, cirrocumulus, lenticular clouds and cirrus clouds.

Iridescence is generally produced near the sun. Iridescent clouds are a diffraction phenomenon caused by small water droplets or small ice crystals individually scattering light. Larger ice crystals produce halos.

If parts of clouds have small droplets or crystals of similar size, their cumulative effect is seen as colors. The cloud must be optically thin, so that most rays encounter only a single droplet.

Iridescence is therefore mostly seen at cloud edges or in semi-transparent clouds, and newly forming clouds produce the brightest and most colorful iridescence.

In our case, the feather-like cirrus cloud photographed by Kerri Trusz, commonly found of altitudes of 20,000 feet (6,455 m) or higher, was most probably composed of hexagonal ice crystals.

GLOBAL VOLCANISM: Kanlaon Volcano Erupts In The Philippines - Remains Under Alert Level 1!

Kanlaon Volcano erupts.

March 30, 2016 - PHILIPPINES - The Kanlaon Volcano in Negros Oriental province erupted at 6:20 p.m. on Tuesday (March 29), the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said in an advisory.

The eruption that lasted for 12 minutes produced a volcanic plume 1500 meters above the crater and a "booming sound" was heard in some barangays near the volcano.

According to the same advisory posted on the agency's social media account, "traces of light ashfall were reported in Sitio Guintubdan, Brgy. Ara-al, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental."

According to Police Supt. Frankie Lugo, chief of the Canlaon City in Negros Oriental, several fire balls, which were coming from the crater of the volcano, started to flow following a booming sound.

A thick cloud also formed after the minor explosion but faded minutes later, Lugo said.

The Kanlaon Volcano remains under Alert Level 1.

"It is at an abnormal condition and is in a period of current unrest," Phivolcs said in its advisory.

The local government units are not allowing people to enter the four-kilometer radius Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ).

Entry is strictly prohibited "due to the further possibilities of sudden and hazardous steam-driven or phereatic eruptions."

Phivolcs also asked Civil Aviation authorities to advise pilots "to avoid flying close to the volcano's summit as airborne as from a sudden eruption can be hazardous to aircraft."

Authorities are sill monitoring the volcano's activity as of posting time.

The volcano, which has been one of the most active in the country, last erupted on December 27, 2015. - CNN.

OMEN: Apocalypse Cow - Does A Two-Headed Calf Born In Yorkshire, UK Mean The End Of The World?!

Unlike other cases its heads were seperated at the neck.  © NBpress

March 30, 2016 - UNITED KINGDOM - The world held its breath today amid Doomsday fears of an apocalypse - after a two-headed calf was born in Yorkshire.

The rare phenomenon of animals being with two heads is considered in many cultures to be a portent of disaster.

Dairy farmer Shaun Sowray, 55, told how the calf was delivered by Caesarean section on March 3 at his family farm in Harrogate, North Yorks.

Unlike other cases recorded, its heads were separated at the neck and it was born with four eyes, four ears, two mouths and four nostrils.

Experts say it is so rare that chances of it happening are one in 400 million - but warn of ancient mythology that claims the "monstrous" creature is an omen from God.

Stunned Shaun, 55, said: "I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it.

"The cow was enormous. We actually thought she was going to have twins.

"I felt inside her and she was perfectly normal. She had fully dilated.

"I could feel the tips of the feet and the nose of the calf, but as I tried to pull it out I could see she was wincing in pain.

"I called the local vet and she came out to assist.

"She got it a little bit further forward.

"We started pulling and again she was wincing in pain so we stopped and started preparing for a Caesarian."

His nephew, Stephen, 23, who took over, said: "Me and the vet pulled the calf out.

"We put in on the floor, sorted the cow out and then looked down and I was like 'oh my God'.

"That's when we saw it had two heads.

"They were completely separated at the neck.

"It wasn't like they shared the same head.

"The two heads were perfectly formed. It was just incredible.

"The vet said she had never seen anything like it.

"The cells haven't divided properly."

The calf sadly died shortly after birth.

It was unable to stand up due to the weight of the two heads.

Shaun, who has farmed all of his life, said: "There was nothing out of the ordinary during the pregnancy.

"It's just one of those things. Something from Mother Nature."

Cases of two-headed calves have been recorded in Peru, the ex-Soviet state of Georgia and in the US.

In Peru villagers feared it would herald disaster and destruction.

Months later it was hit by a 7.5 magnitude earthquake.

Having more than one head is known as polycephaly, with two-headedness more specifically known as 'bicephaly' or 'dicephaly'.

Each head of a polycephalic animal has its own brain, and they share control of the organs and limbs, though the specific structure of the connections varies.

Such animals often move in a disorientated and dizzy fashion, with the brains 'arguing' with each other leading some specimens to simply zig-zag without getting anywhere.

In snakes, each head may attack and even attempt to swallow the other.

There have also been cases in humans.

Twins Abigail and Brittany Hensel, from Minnesota, are dicephalic parapagus twins, which means each has a separate head but their bodies are joined.

In 2015, villagers in Peru were split over whether the two-headed calf was a miracle or a warning from God.

It was born in the community of Vista Alegre, and its two heads were fully formed.

But it did not have the strength to stand up so farmer Edward Villegas Rubio was forced to feed it milk by the bottle.

MASS BIRD DIE-OFFS: Migratory Patterns And Disaster Precursors - Dozens Of Dead Birds Found Along 1-5 In Redding, California?!

Dead starlings.

March 30, 2016 - CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES - State officials are looking into why as many as 100 starlings were found dead along Interstate 5 north of Redding.

The birds were first spotted on Saturday along the northbound shoulder of I-5 just south of the Wonderland Boulevard exit.

Pete Figura, a biologist with the state Department of Fish and Wildlife, said it was the first time he had personally heard about a bird die off, but had heard about it before elsewhere.

"And it is often hard to figure out what happened," Figura said. The agency had not come to any conclusions about why the birds died, he said, but with the birds found so close to the freeway, they could have been killed by a passing car or truck, he said. Starlings usually fly in flocks, which would explain why if they were struck by a passing vehicle, they would all be found in close proximity to each other, he said.

An official with the agency collected some of the dead birds for testing to see whether poison or disease could have played a part in the deaths.

Dozens of birds were found dead along the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 near the Wonderland Boulevard exit north of Redding.

Figura said his office has received several inquiries about the birds.

Jim Wiegand said he first saw the birds around noon on Sunday. At that time there seemed to be more birds near the road than on Monday, when he returned to take photos.

He said the bird deaths raise many questions. The birds that weren't in the roadway didn't seem to show signs of trauma from crashing into vehicles or being struck. And if they were killed by disease or poison, he wondered why they would all be together.

"It's very unusual," Wiegand said. "It's very bizarre."

Cheyanne Spinks of Shasta Lake said she was on her way to Lake Shasta on Monday when she saw the birds on the side of the freeway and stopped to investigate.

She said she counted 65 birds near the northbound lanes of the freeway and 10 more near the southbound lanes.

Early April to bring blasts of arctic air and snow in midwestern, northeastern US

A southward plunge of the polar vortex will direct a couple of blasts of arctic air and potential snow toward portions of the midwestern and northeastern United States during the first week of April.

The main thrusts of the cold air will aim at the Great Lakes, New England and the northern part of the mid-Atlantic at a time when many people are looking forward to increased outdoor spring activities.

Arctic air to deliver shocking cold, hard freezes to the Upper Midwest and Northeast

The first and most dramatic of the two blasts will roll southeastward from Canada this weekend.

The approach and passage of the leading edge of the cold air will be accompanied by gusty winds. Sunday could bring high winds to much of the Northeast, in addition to plunging temperatures.

"Temperatures in the Northeast will be 10-20 degrees Fahrenheit below normal, which will be the largest negative anomalies since Valentines Day," AccuWeather Long-Range Meteorologist Joe Lundberg said. "When the wind is factored in, it will feel a whopping 40-60 degrees colder than it will late this week."

Normal highs during the first week of April are in the lower to middle 50s in Minneapolis, Chicago and Boston, the upper 50s in Pittsburgh and New York City and the 60s in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.

For MLB interests in Pittsburgh on Sunday, play could be challenging to say the least, due to a combination of wind and cold. Fans heading to PNC Park should dress in warm layers. Actual temperatures will be no higher than the lower 40s.

Highs may be in the 20s and 30s during multiple days from western and northern New York state to central and northern New England. AccuWeather RealFeel Temperatures can be 10-20 degrees lower than the actual temperature at times. A second press of cold air is likely during next week.

The southward extent of the cold will depend upon whether or not a storm strengthens along the Atlantic coast. A strong storm near the coast could pull cold air well to the south in its wake.

It is possible for frost and freezing temperatures on one or two nights as far south as parts of the Tennessee Valley and southern Piedmont areas at the height of the cold air outbreaks.

The penetrating cold could pose a risk for budding and blossoming fruit trees, bushes and vines.

In many cases, budding and blossoming is occurring two to four weeks earlier than last year. For example, the cherry blossoms in Washington, D.C., reached peak on March 25 this year, compared to April 10, 2015. The average peak bloom date is around April 4, according to the National Park Service.

Snow likely to accompany cold blasts

As the arctic air passes over the open waters of the Great Lakes, rounds of lake-effect snow will erupt.

Typically, by April, lake-effect snow events are insignificant. However, since the air will be much colder than the water, bands of heavy lake-effect snow can set up downwind of the lakes.

"This is the type of setup, where a couple of snow showers could be seen east of the Appalachians to the Interstate-95 corridor of the mid-Atlantic and New England in the depths of the cold air later this weekend into early next week," AccuWeather Chief Meteorologist Elliot Abrams said.

The potential for snow may go beyond lake-effect and spotty snow showers.

A couple of Alberta clipper storms will swing southeastward and could produce periods of steady snow, well away from the traditional lake-effect snow belts.

Spanning Saturday to Sunday (April 2-3), one period of snow may swing from northern Minnesota to New York state, northern Pennsylvania and New England.

Another period of snow could track farther to the south in parts of the Midwest and mid-Atlantic region spanning Sunday night to Tuesday (April 3-5).

The second clipper storm could bring snow for the MLB game on Monday in Cleveland. The second clipper has the potential to strengthen near the Atlantic coast with perhaps more extensive precipitation on Tuesday. - Accuweather.

Thousands of people stranded by heavy snowfall in India

Thousands of Kargil bound passengers in Srinagar and Jammu have been stranded after heavy snowfall in Kargil district.

The Srinagar-Leh road again closed after it was opened in the first week of March after remaining closed for three months.

The administration said many patients are still waiting for AN32 Service in Jammu and Srinagar.

J&K Legislative Council Chairman Haji Anayat Ali and MLA Kargil Asgar Karbalai had earlier demanded that IL76 army aircraft may be put in service to ferry the stranded passengers from Jammu to Leh and from Srinagar to Leh.

In response to that Government of India had managed C-17 Indian Air Force aircraft to lift stranded passengers but the passengers said the arrangements need to be made on a larger scale.

Meanwhile, an additional 64 people – including women and children – were stranded by heavy snowfall at the Nasta Chhun Pass, according to an army statement.

“On 24 March 16 in late hours, 10 light vehicle carrying 64 civilians and 12 load carriers were caught in deep snow and raging snow blizzard near Nasta Chun Pass endangering the lives of the commuters.

The army detachment at Nasta Chun Pass received the SOS call at 2200 hours from the stranded civilians and the Avalanche Rescue Team from Nasta Chun Pass was immediately sprung into action to provide assistance to the stranded civilians,” Army statement said, adding, “The team reached the incident site despite strong snow blizzards and rescued all the civilians.”

Army said the stranded vehicles were provided a safe track by manually clearing the snow. The rescue operation was again launched in the early hours to pull out twelve heavily loaded trucks using dozer of GREF. - Rising Kashmir.
